Michelle Tullier, Ph.D.
Michelle helps students, recent graduates, and other young adults discover meaningful career paths and find success in job or internship searches. As a career counselor for the past 30 years in college, corporate, and independent settings, Michelle is uniquely equipped to provide highly personalized services to clients no matter how traditional or circuitous their journey has been.
Michelle has served as a career counselor with Barnard College and executive director of the career center at Georgia Tech. She coached thousands of downsized professionals and executives as a career consultant with global outplacement firm Right Management and taught career development at NYU.
She is a frequent speaker on 21st-century work, Gen Z careers, and the convergence of mental health and career issues. Recent invited presentations include the Global Future of Work Summit in Stockholm and National Association of Colleges and Employers conference. Michelle is the author of nine books, including the Unofficial Guide to Landing a Job (Wiley & Sons) and Idiot's Guide to Overcoming Procrastination (Simon & Schuster).
Michelle earned a PhD with honors in counseling psychology at UCLA and BA in psychology from Wellesley College, and is a graduate of the Lovett School in Atlanta. She holds the distinctions of Certified Career Counselor by the National Career Development Association and Certified Professional Resume Writer by the Professional Association of Resume Writers.
As the mother of a Gen Z daughter, Michelle understands the challenges parents face in helping their students or young adults find a place in the world. She serves as both insightful career counselor and practical coach to guide clients in exploring career directions and securing work opportunities in which they can thrive.
