TBG Welcomes Our Newest Affiliate, Stephanie Mitchell
The Bertram Group is pleased to announce that Stephanie Mitchell will be joining the TBG team. Working primarily in college placement, Stephanie helps students prepare for the next step by assessing all aspects of their lives. In addition to college and post-secondary planning, Stephanie works with younger neurodiverse students to identify the right educational environment. We are thrilled to add Stephanie to our team as she embodies integrity, professionalism, expertise, empathy, and an understanding of students’ needs, all of which are the hallmarks of The Bertram Group.
Stephanie worked for over 15 years as a teacher in a school for middle and high school students with a variety of learning differences. In addition to teaching, she served as the Director of College Placement and Transition for 12 years before leaving to start her own practice. While Stephanie advises all types of students, her specialty is aiding students with learning differences in finding appropriate secondary and post-secondary options through a comprehensive and individualized process. As an adjunct to school advising and post-secondary planning, Stephanie co-authors Transition Evaluations with an Occupational Therapist. Through this work, she collaborates with a wide network of colleagues and school personnel, when beneficial, in order to further guide families seeking greater depth and understanding of their child's level of independence across all domains.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor’s in Art History from St. Olaf College and a Master’s in Italian Renaissance Art History from Syracuse University. Equally important to her professional experience, she is the proud mother of two boys who have learning, hearing and attention deficits.
