Audrey N. Ludemann, M.S.Ed.
Partner Emeritus, Traditional Day and Boarding School Advising
Through more than fifteen years in the classroom, plus two decades of experience as an educational consultant, Audrey has honed her ability to recognize, appreciate and articulate the unique characteristics of each student. Enthusiastic about working with students and families, she is skilled in assessing students and identifying personal ‘best fit’ schools. Families praise Audrey’s ability to communicate, connect, and bring out the best in their child. Admission colleagues voice appreciation for the insight she brings to the admission process. Her commitment to her families, her expertise and diligence in the admission process, and her straightforward approach have produced consistently excellent outcomes. “There is nothing more rewarding,” she affirms, “than to help a student find the right school or program and to watch them embrace their experience, bloom and feel both ready and enthusiastic about their next academic opportunity.’
Audrey discovered her passion for working with children and families while attending boarding school just outside of Washington, DC., where she was offered a service opportunity at a public school. Her interest continued at Sarah Lawrence College, where she studied psychology and music, taught young children and had an opportunity to design, develop, and implement a music program. She went on to earn a Masters of Science in Education at the University of Bridgeport and subsequently taught in independent day schools.
Since beginning her consulting work in 2003, Audrey has worked with a wide range of students in their independent day and boarding school application process. She has a deep understanding of the local Fairchester day school market and works with children in elementary through secondary ages. In boarding, Audrey works with candidates interested in exploring both junior and/or secondary boarding schools across the US. All of her students are college prep and she enjoys advising a wide range of students along a broad continuum including traditional learners, those with mild to moderate learning differences, gifted learners and twice exceptional students. Audrey’s extensive experience, deep knowledge base, inherent warmth and true love of working with families and students are consistent hallmarks of the experience she offers to families.
