Brendon Welker is an experienced educational consultant and entrepreneur who focuses on helping families and students navigate the complex world of education. He is the Founder and Executive Director of Welker Educational Services and Prep ID Advisors, and Co-Founder and Director of Programming with John Gardner's Pathway to Prep, where he provides educational planning and consulting services to students entering middle school, high school, and college.
Brendon has two decades of experience in independent secondary schools, and his approach to school and college planning is that of an educator, focusing on the best fit for each of his clients. Utilizing his vast experience in boarding schools, Brendon began his educational consulting career in 2016 where he has assisted families from around the world with educational planning for independent middle and secondary school as well as college. Brendon also leverages his experience in athletics to assist students interested in being recruited to compete at the secondary school and collegiate levels.
Before his work as an educational consultant, Brendon worked in independent secondary schools, serving as Dean for Enrollment and External Affairs and Director of Admission at Avon Old Farms School for over a decade. Brendon led and coordinated all admission and enrollment activities, including recruitment, retention, and strategic enrollment planning. He also coordinated marketing and communications efforts for the school, including the development of a master marketing plan, a new website, and an increased social media presence.
Brendon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The College of the Holy Cross, as well as a Master of Arts degree from Wesleyan University. Brendon is a frequent presenter at national admission-related conferences and has served as Vice Chair of the IECA Schools Committee, volunteered on the US Squash Women in Sports Committee, Capitol Squash, and Covenant Preparatory School.
