With a career spanning nearly two decades in behavioral health, wilderness, and therapeutic education, Patrick McAvoy has deep roots and a strong connection to families seeking a non-traditional approach.

Patrick’s journey in this field began with providing care and field coordination to students entering treatment, setting the foundation for his profound commitment to helping young individuals thrive. Over the years, Patrick has embraced various roles within the industry, including admissions director, program director, and executive director. He has also worked in admissions at a therapeutic boarding school and played a pivotal role as a founding member of two treatment programs dedicated to teens.

What sets Patrick apart is his unwavering sense of compassion, humor, and joy, which he brings to every aspect of his work. He understands that each individual is unique, and he meets his clients exactly where they are, validating their experiences, identifying their strengths, and charting personalized paths for growth.

Patrick holds a bachelor's degree in Management of Music and Communications from Ohio University. Outside of his professional life, Patrick is an adventurer at heart. You can often find him outdoors, exploring, paddling, or skiing with his family. Patrick's passion for music also shines through as an accomplished bass player, and he dreams of one day starting a family band with his partner and two young children.
